FDA guidelines state 316, 316L and Hastelloy are acceptable for use and do not require material certificates.

Pure PTFE and 25% Carbon filled PTFE components can be supplied with FDA Approval certificate on request.

Breconcherry products containing 25% Carbon filled PTFE are exempt from the ATEX legislation. Specifically directive 94/9/EC.

Carbon filled PTFE does not build up a static charge, and does not pose a static discharge risk.

Many units can be supplied as 180 degree units. These are denoted as A or T.

A= Away from the inlet.
T= Towards the inlet.


If the unit is mounted in the top of the vessel, with the inlet coming down from the top, and you wanted to spray downwards into the tank, you would require a 180 A (Away) unit, as the spray would be away from the inlet.
