One solution to reduce the amount of cleaning fluid used is to use retracting devices such as the MR1 or MR2 which in normal operation seal flush with the pipe or duct wall. Hoppers in general tend to be quite small and can be sealed or open topped. They carry transit products and may require frequent cleaning.
